All in the garden! The recommendations for plants of Mrs. Laura

And at least it has arrived, in all its splendor , the long-awaited spring, season of hope , awakening and projects. Although last winter was not cold at all , the desire for a mild climate, with sunny days and especially of color, remains intact in all of us , and blooms again now that spring has finally proclaimed.

It ' time to get out then , to dispose of the heavy clothes , open the windows and let in the sun , to be seduced by the new smells and savor the smell intensely that by definition intoxicates our hearts spring : that of freshly cut ( did you know ? emerges from a survey that is just the smell of freshly cut grass that most of us associate the spring).

And the garden ? The garden is now all to be discovered: prune , cut, sow , weed , fertilize ... realign , fertilize , fertilize !
But the plants that were in the house in winter now also have to find space in the garden or on the terrace if possible. Because they have extreme need to breathe, bathe in the dew and rain.

And when we talk about plants, we are immediately reminded of the splendid specimens of Mrs. Laura, who , with not one but two green thumbs , makes every plant that comes into her house an explosion of lush nature.
This lady , in fact, with grace and patience is handling his seedlings ( that were donated during holidays ) day by day , with care and continuity , and they reward the growing enormously bright and strong.

Have you ever seen an orchid like that? , Or a Christmas star so? Yet they were the same plants that we buy regularly but often fail to keep alive .
And ' why, for us and for you, we are here to share some simple tips dished out by Mrs. Laura and try to do as she did.

First of all : do not put the plants in the garden too early ,  to leave free the corners of the house that during the winter were occupied by our friends. Oh yes, because in the spring the weather is not stable and abrupt changes in temperature, but above all the windy weather are likely to jeopardize the health of plants that look a little ' fragile .
Leave a little ' inside the cacti and orchids the bougainvillea ; may instead exit the Clivie and the Christmas star .

Then choose the right location for each plant , so that he can spend the summer away from stress too strong as excessive sun or excessive wind . Mrs. Laura says that no plant likes full sun and which also still needs a daily ration of sun , preferably morning , most delicate and mild summer evening sun (see zamia , the sansevieria , succulents ) . There are plants , however, they are fine under a beautiful tree , which keeps them cool even when the temperature in July and August it is excessive and the burning light (see orchids ) .

The right amount of water is also extremely important : succulents should be kept dry , while orchids, Clivie be watered often , preferably from the earth and not from the vessel.

Finally, let's not forget the fertilizer. Each flowering plant , to find the energy to bloom every year , it needs to be fertilized . Very useful are the sticks to be inserted in the soil of the plant , which release nutrients gradually and long (a few months ) , so our plants will always be equipped with the right amount .

And now all out : with perseverance and dedication in September we will see our plants are bright and strong !
